Tried to do the Plein Aire thing, loaded my car with all my painting junk took my camera for good measure. Good thing I did, there was no place to safely park and paint this along highway 13. So I photographed it and painted it in my studio. This field was loaded with color, I couldn't believe the amount of color in it. The red area is sumac.
