Blueberry Cove Newfoundland

Blueberry Cove is south of Placentia Newfoundland about 3 miles. Green's Light is about 1 mile north. This view is looking down from above from about 250 feet. I and my friends used to go here to scuba dive, camp and hike. there are some precarious sheep trails along the cliff. Oil on Panel. 12" X 16" Private Collection.

Rush Creek

This painting was hanging in Missouri State Senator Delbert Scott's office in Jefferson City Missouri. he has since retired from politics. Acrylic on Panel, 18" 24" Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Scott Collection.

Weedeater

This early 1950's vintage Chevy sits on the Younce family's property. It looks like it is eating weeds. i put this painting on Saatchi and sold a print to woman in Surrey England. Acrylic on Panel,

Old Barn Watercolor

Old Lowry City Methodist Church

This old church has seen better days, but it has a kind of charm. It is now used as a storage facility by one of our townsfolk. Acrylic on Panel, 18" X 24".

Bridget Picking Blueberries Newfoundland.

This area is above Placentia Newfoundland. I took a slide of this area in 1977. It had an old British cannon as the focal point. I removed it, and placed my wife in it's place, picking blueberries. The town of Placentia is situated on the spit in the middle ground. I removed it also, there is great beauty in isolation. Acrylic on Panel, 18" X 24" Private Collection.

Cedar County Farm

Afternoon Sun. Del Mar Store.

The old Del Mar Store served local residents and local miners working the Strip Pit Mining operation nearby. The mines closed in the early 1960's and likely contributed to the demise of the Del Mar Store. Acrylic on Panel, 18" X 24" Private Collection.

Chestnut Street Trafficway In The Rain.

This painting brings back memories, I painted this the day I lost my job at the stained glass studio. I was feeling pretty low. I do my best work when I an upset or troubled. It was drizzling,lightly. I was painting this from the Chestnut Street Bridge in Kansas City's Old Northeast side. I had my oldest son John with me. He was about 7 or 8 years old at the time. A school bus full of school kids came by, the driver stopped the bus on the bridge, to watch me paint. They all clapped and cheered encouragement. It made my day. This painting is in the private collection of fellow artist Marin Shenewark. Her uncle was one of the foremost California Impressionist during the early part of the 20th Century. The King of Norway once purchased one of his paintings during World War II, and had the painting shipped to him aboard a submarine. Oil on Canvas, 28" X 40"
